The series has ended, but Hall has moved on to a new frightful role as Richard Dane in the movie Cold in July which premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. The film also stars Sam Shepard, Don Johnson, Vinessa Shaw and one of the screenplay writers, Nick Damici. The film showed in movie theaters starting May 23, 2014.

Artist Ty Mattson originally created posters for the first five season of the series. Later, Mattson created a second edition of the most popular seasons.

Early cuts is an animated web series that premiered just before Halloween in 2009. Michael Hall does the voice-over for his character in the animation. The producers also worked closely with Showtime to match the visual style and the sound effects of the TV show.
